The Belt is perfect for both ancient Rome, and even parts of Medieval knight kit. The belt has a foam backing, that of which can keep the belt from scraping along the body, as well has an overlapping leather upon the foam and a historical design of brass upon the belt.
Similar to the previous review. It is a nice belt, however, even someone with a small waist like mine (I am 1.70 and fit) the brass does not stretch all the way round. Take into account a gambeson or some protective clothing and the belt is basically too short and only for civilian reenactment dress. The back of the belt is covered in this non authentic black foam to protect you from the rivets, but after having peeled it off the rivets look smooth so I would take it off. The quality is quite good, especially for the price, it is almost worth the money just to take the brass pieces off and put it on your own belt (though dont forget import costs). Total belt length is 48 inch or 122cm. Buckle and brass accent are 34inch or 86cm. buckle is 2inch. First hole is at 36inch and last at 45inch. Would I buy again? Yes I think so, but only with a large order, and only as a temporary solution until I have money for a artisanal belt.
While it says for a waist up to 42, for any waist over 32ish there is a lot of the leather belt showing without brass plaques. This really takes away from the overall look. The construction is otherwise solid and product looks nice.
